Route 3 Wines comes to you from Yolo Vineyards, a sister company of Joe Muller & Sons family farm. The delight you will experience when drinking our wines begins with grapes grown in our vineyards on the historic Hucke Ranch nestled quietly in the Dunnigan Hills.
It is our philosophy that along with hard work, we all have an obligation to appreciate and enjoy life. In that spirit, we have created wines that are approachable and easy to enjoy. Our wines are equally at home on the table for a special occasion or on the picnic table in your back yard at a casual cook out. We have done the hard work so you can relax and celebrate all of life's little pleasures!

- 2010 Route 3 Grenache - Limited availability!
Grenache is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world. It is grown throughout Spain, France, Australia and California. In California it is used mainly as a blending wine sourced from the San Joaquin Valley. However, when care is taken to limit the crop size, and things go well in the winery, Grenache can be an exciting wine. Grenache wines tend to be Medium bodied and spicy with low acidity and tannins.
Our inaugural vintage of Grenache is indeed a spicy wine with a lot of ripe berry flavors and hints of cedar and black licorice. Our Grenache comes from a vineyard nestled onto a gentle slope overlooking a pond that is surrounded by eucalyptus trees. As a result of this “terroir” there is a strong menthol component that compliments the other flavors in this wine. We are pleased with our first attempt with this wonderful variety and believe you will be also. Act fast as this wine will be gone soon!
